When we are postpartum we are recovering from birth and pregnancy, bonding with our babies, adjusting to parenting a newborn, feeding and holding our babies day and night. We are tired, pushed to our limits. The more we are able to slow down, rest, receive support, and be cared for, the easier it will be. Making a postpartum plan can make all the difference.

Your questions answered:

Is this just for moms?

All parents and caregivers are welcome.

How much does it cost?

These classes are free thanks to grant funding.

Can I bring my older children?

Yes, we recommend bringing another adult (spouse, partner, parent, friend etc) who can help care for them.

Do I need to sign up?

You don’t need to. If you do sign up you’ll get some reminders and other helpful information.

What do we get?

You receive a Build Your Nest postpartum planning workbook, plus community resource handouts.

What if I can’t come to all of them?

That’s totally fine. You can come as often or as little as you wish.

Who are the facilitators?

The classes are facilitated by a Postpartum Navigator who has additional training and experience in perinatal health and/or early childhood.

A postpartum plan is an outline of how you will have REST, SUPPORT, and CARE after giving birth.

The Build Your Nest Book Clubs are part of the Postpartum Navigator Pilot Project is funded through a partnership with Nurturely by a Ford Family Foundation grant, as well as the Community Resiliency and Trauma Informed Care Impact Fund through the Resilient Clatsop County Network. The program is fiscally sponsored by Baby Blues Connection.
